Commissioned for a private event in the RDS, this LED installation was designed as a main feature and focal point for guests to engage with. Treating the cube like a glass case, we designed a series of visuals that gave a window into a dream-like representation uncovering the birth of the universe. The fluidity of the content became a primary motion, revealing the evolution of simple forms into complex structures within a confined geometric space.

Transporting the viewer into this scene we wanted to give them a sense that the organic simulation suspended before them was a living system, sacred and mysterious. This illusion was further enhanced by the scale of the install, with each cube face measuring 4x4 metres and furthermore synchronised with audio. The evolution of simple forms is echoed through the accompanying soundscape, which was derived from a single audio sample, distorted in many ways to enhance the motion and build suspense.  

In order to maximise the effectiveness and impact of the illusion, the video content was rendered from a single point which digitally matched the perspective the attendees would have the moment they stepped inside the venue.
